Kate Gosselin is slowly revealing more details about her relationship.
Gosselin, 50, reportedly said her boyfriend’s name, “Steve,” during a TikTok livestream on Tuesday, September 30, according to Parade. The Jon & Kate Plus 8 alum’s partner was in her hospital room with her as she spoke to fans online about the surgery she underwent for a “life-altering” injury given to her by one of her dogs, the outlet reported.
Gosselin revealed via TikTok in the early hours of Tuesday morning that she had been hospitalized.
“Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow,” she wrote over a photo of an IV in her arm. “I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate your prayers! Thanks, guys.”
Gosselin added in the caption, “Emergencies don’t care about schedules! Please DONT worry about me! Please pray [instead]!”
Later, the TLC personality shared that she underwent surgery and had “five pain meds on board (best 3 most painful surgery).”
During her live, Gosselin revealed that her puppy, Meika, “ran into me full-speed ahead and I ended up with a tibial plateau fracture and surgery with plates and pins in my leg,” referring to an injury in her knee.
Gosselin said that a doctor described her injury as “life-altering.”
“I have an ice machine, and, let me tell you, I love it,” she continued. “I’d say my insurance bought it but, let’s be honest, I probably bought it. They’re sending me home with the ice thing.”

Despite the “ice machine,” Gosselin said that she’s still in significant pain.
“My leg is really hurting, I’m going to need to say something,” she told viewers. “It’s, like, unable to be ignored.”
Gosselin’s hospitalization comes days after she confirmed that she had been dating someone “for the past year to a little over a year, maybe like 14, 15 months.”
“I am super, super happy. It’s somebody that I’ve known for a really long time and I am very, very happy,” she said in a TikTok Q&A on September 22.
Gosselin did not reveal the name of her boyfriend at the time and explained, “He doesn’t really want to be on TikToks. Can’t blame him really I guess, but you perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there or once in a while going forward.”
Indeed, Gosselin’s boyfriend, whom Page Six identified as her former bodyguard Steve Neild, made a subtle cameo in a recent livestream, as he delivered a coffee to the mom of eight.
“Hello to the boyfriend,” she said.
Amid the buzz surrounding Kate’s relationship, her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin — with whom she shares twins Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Hannah, Collin, Aaden, Leah, Joel and Alexis, 21 — claimed that Neild contributed to the end of their marriage in 2009.
“Guess who really ruined the marriage,” Jon, 48, wrote via Instagram on September 24 alongside a photo of Kate and Neild, as well as a screenshot of the Page Six article. “Read for yourself.”
He added in the caption, “Maybe when I speak people will listen immediately!!!”
