Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana.
Last week Brittney’s father Larry posted on Facebook about Brandon’s death, confirming Brittney and Brandon’s relationship (the post was originally public but he changed the settings to private):
“Yesterday we lost a good man Brandon Blackstock my daughter’s soulmate and I considered him my son. My sincere condolences to Brittney Jones and family. We’re sure going to miss your funny humor. R.I.P hoss!”
According to Brittney’s LinkedIn profile (which is today private), she worked as Kelly’s assistant from December 2016 until December 2018, assisting Kelly’s team while they were on the road for tours and album promotions. She then became an executive management assistant at Brandon’s Starstuck Entertainment (the talent agency that managed Kelly at the time), working as Brandon’s assistant and managing Kelly’s daily schedule. In June 2020 (the same month that Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon), Brittney started a role as executive assistant at V Bar B Cattle Co. (formerly Vintage Valley Ranch), a Montana ranch owned by Blackstock.

I successfully assistant managed day to day for creator, Kelly Clarkson under manager, Brandon Blackstock in Los Angeles for beat and television. After a change in management for Ms. Clarkson, I transitioned to Executive Assistant for Mr. Blackstock’s cattle operation in Montana, where I currently run the office and handle administration work. I also currently fulfill personal assistant duties for Mr. Blackstock.
Brittney was previously married to Nashville drummer Greg Goose LaPoint. According to his Instagram posts, they got engaged in September 2019 and celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in September 2022.
According to a tabloid, public records show Brittney’s residence as Brandon’s mansion in Montana beginning in April 2024.
