Kerry and her new beau, who is 11 years her junior, started dating earlier this year and she has lifted the lid on their budding relationship and how happy he makes her
Kerry Katona has lifted the lid on her relationship with Paolo Margaglione, who she met in E4 show Celebs Go Dating.
She met personal trainer Paolo, who is 11 years younger than her, during filming of the show earlier this year.
The new relationship comes after Kerry split from fiancé Ryan a year ago after a “breach of trust”.
The couple, who were due to marry, met on dating app Bumble and dated for six years.
Kerry admitted she has looked for “red flags” when it comes to her new beau Paolo, but has come up empty so far.
“Oh, believe me, I’ve looked for the red flags,” the former Atomic Kitten singer said. “My friends, my family, too. We haven’t found any! My kids encouraged me to go for it with him. I was the Ice Queen. I wasn’t going there, but it was Heidi who said, ‘You deserve to be happy’.”
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail, Kerry said he makes her “happier than I’ve ever been” and that he is “kind and thoughtful.”
Mum-of-five Kerry shares children Molly and Lilly-Sue with her first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi and Max with second husband Mark Croft and youngest daughter DJ with George Kay, who died six years ago.
She said that her children and their achievements make her incredibly proud.
“My kids have been brought up phenomenal,” she said. “They’ve never had a ketchup sandwich in their lives. They order lobster and linguine when they go to a restaurant.
“They all went to private school. My Heidi got five As and a distinction. Molly is doing her bachelor’s degree. People who meet them are always surprised. That’s my greatest achievement right there. You think you know me. You got it all wrong.”
It comes as last month, Kerry said that she isn’t ruling out having more children with her new partner.
“Everything has gone so smoothly with me and Paolo. I’m definitely open to having more kids – and I know my children would be happy for me, if that was the case,” she said in her OK! Magazine column. In an earlier interview she also gushed about how the pair have “blended” their families.
“This week I’ve been super busy touring, but I did have a day with Paolo and the kids, my lot and his two girls, which was lovely,” she told OK.
“I love spending time with his girls; it’s such a nice feeling to have little ones around again.
“We’ve blended our families together seamlessly, and everything fits into place perfectly.”
