Lala Kent’s daughter had a hilarious on-DSLR slip-up, and the reality star’s reaction is priceless.
Ocean Kent Emmett, born March 15, 2021, was brushing her hair and chatting on TikTok when she unexpectedly dropped a curse word.
“…’cause my mom wants me,” Ocean said, before adding, “But Rylee, she’s a [expletive].”
“Did you just say the b-word?” Kent asked as she rushed over to her daughter. “Yes,” Ocean replied matter-of-factly. Once Ocean finally apologized, Kent then asked her, “Who are you talking about?”
Ocean explained, “Rylee,” referring to her older half-sister, whom her father, Randall Emmett, shares with actress Ambyr Childers.
When Kent asked where she heard the word from, Ocean admitted, “My dad.” Kent then warned her daughter she’d be reviewing the video to see if her daughter had said any more bad words.
Ocean held up one finger and insisted, “Only one time.” Kent laid down the rules firmly: “You are to never say that word again … Not cool.”
But once mom left, Ocean turned back to the DSLR and adorably confessed, “You guys, my mom got mad at me, and it really hurt my feelings.”
The 35-year-old met Emmett while working at SUR, the West Hollywood restaurant that serves as the backdrop for the TV series, Vanderpump Rules. The couple broke up shortly after Ocean’s birth and just ended a three-year long custody battle.
In March 2024, Lala announced her second pregnancy after telling Cosmopolitan that she’d begun intrauterine insemination (IUI), a fertility treatment that’s normally less invasive than IVF.
When speaking about starting the treatment, Lala told the publication, “It took a really long time to find the donor because, you know, it’s strange….It’s like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it. But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me. He felt like my baby daddy. *laughs* So that’s where we’re at. The moment I can go forward with the IUI, then we’ll be there.”
“I’m expanding my pod,” Kent wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Ocean smiling at her baby bump.
She welcomed her second daughter, Sosa Kent, on September 3, 2024. “Welcome into the world, my love,” she wrote.
