The musician is transitioning into a new phase of her career, and she could not hide her enjoyment when she publicly showed the cover of her single ‘Ego.’ In her announcement, she almost could not contain her joy, saying, ‘Hi hello greetings from wherever you are! I’m so incredibly excited to share the cover art for my new single “Ego.”’ She let us know that the song is already on Even.biz, which is the only place where it can be heard until the global release on October 17. Using the words ‘let the new begin’ she said goodbye to this new beginning and expressed her gratitude to her team consisting of photographer Trippy Dana, make-up musician Jill Powell, and stylist Lyn Alyson.
The announcement stirred an instant and strong reaction of support from both artists and fans alike. One of the comments left by Lauren’s former Fifth Harmony bandmate, Dinah Jane, was very short but powerful and at the same time so similar to Lauren’s, it was ‘let the newww beginnn’, and thus a connection of excitement among the fans of both singers was established. A person replied to Dinah’s post that their ‘harmonizer’ (the term used for the group’s fans) could no longer hold it in, highlighting that there is still a strong bond between the fans and the ex-group’s members.
Also, another musician Scott Hoying who was the one to voice his admiration for the cover design, mentioned that it was so great and he is ready for the new era. He even made a joke, ‘THE COVER IS GORGEOUS SO ready for this new era!!!’ Most of the people who made comments were of the same opinion that the new single’s aesthetic presentation is a significant artistic change.
There was no doubt about the excitement for the track. One fan wrote, ‘I DREAMED OF TIMES LIKE THESE, LJ1 ERA HERE WE COME, I AM SO READY,’ and the fan even took the liberty of printing the acronym for her/his newly updated wish list of musician debut albums. Another fan indicated that the entire fan base is all set to be with the musician, even if that means burning the money just to hear her shouting, ‘YES, I AM LAUREN.’ This kind of dedication undoubtedly means that Jauregui has put in great effort to develop a tight and personal bond with her audience.
No matter the distance, fans were from every corner of the globe sending support messages. One of the fans wrote in a comment, ‘Guau guau SII Reyna acá estamos para ti, seguir escuchando tu arte,’ which translates to ‘Wow wow YES Queen we are here for you, to keep listening to your art.’ A Peruvian user was saying, ‘Felicidades hermosa! Ya lo conseguimos por @even.biz y lo tenemos en bucle,’ meaning they had got the song on Even.biz and were playing it over and over again.
A very interesting comment came from a fan who connected the release with Jauregui’s recent participation in Dancing with the Stars, ‘Releasing a single post dwts mhm that’s my mami.’ This comment links her present track activity with the publicity gained through the TV show. Another comment just stated, ‘You sure have a big one!’ which was a joking and perhaps cheeky reference to the title ‘Ego’ of the new single.

To sum up, the combined replies show that the musician has strong support at the outset of her new chapter of the career. The comments are a mix of nostalgia for her past, excitement for her future, and great appreciation for her craftsmanship. Her recent performances have clearly built momentum for this moment. The release of ‘Ego’ by Lauren Jauregui is not just a new single but the start of a new and highly anticipated chapter that has already been completely embraced by her community. Her activism work also shows the depth of her character beyond track. The return to the track industry is set to be triumphant.
