Lukas Gage is looking back on getting married on reality television to his ex-husband Chris Appleton and why he has “no regrets” for doing that.
The 30-year-old actor got married on an episode of The Kardashians with Kim Kardashian as the wedding officiant. Chris is Kim‘s longtime hairstylist.
The short-lived marriage ended after just seven months, but Lukas doesn’t regret that period of his life.

“I don’t know who that person is. And that is really, really disturbing. I don’t see anyone behind the eyes,” Lukas said. He said he didn’t movie the episode “till later” and said “no one’s home” while looking at himself.
Lukas added, “There’s a very wild way that sometimes we go about prescribing people medication. And I can joke about it and have humility and laugh about it because it’s funny and it’s like whatever. It’s a good story, right? That’s the great thing about this. All this kind of bad traumatic stuff make for great stories. But I do feel like we have to really be careful about prescribing people medication and just throwing it out there like that.”
“I’m not going to put the blame on that and there was a part of me that was, you know, in love or felt like he was in love and happy and just going with the flow or thought he was happy and going with the flow, but there was another part of me that I didn’t recognize myself and everyone around me didn’t recognize who I was,” Lukas added.
Lukas said that after he got off the medication, he “suddenly had clarity and I was like, ‘Oh sh-t, I just blew up my life.’”
Chris addressed the divorce for the first time last month, two years after filing for the divorce.
