To date, Mariah has been nominated 34 times, but has only won five – Best New musician, Best Pop Vocal Performance – Female, Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

When pressed if she thinks she should have more Grammys, Mariah said, “Well, I was nominated years ago for almost every category, the year that we had ‘One Sweet Day’ with Boyz II Men, and ‘Always Be My Baby,’ ‘Fantasy.’”

After being lauded for her recent VMAs wins, Mariah was sure to praise the Grammys.
“Let’s just say yay for the Grammys. Yay! Yay Grammys! Woo!” she said, clapping. “And we love ‘em!”
