Metro Boomin snapped on a fan who accused him of playing a role in the Drake and Future feud. The multi-platinum producer had time when a Twitter user fired off a bold message claiming Metro is the reason fans aren’t getting any more hits from the duo.
“F**k your day, you ruined Pluto and Drizzy,” the user wrote under Metro’s usual “Thank God for the day” tweet. Metro didn’t hold back. His reply? “Cry me a river f**k boy.”
The comment comes after months of fan speculation surrounding the fallout between Drake and Future. The two dominated the charts in the 2010s with iconic tracks like “Jumpman” and “Used to This.” But their public silence and lack of collaborations recently have fans reading between every lyric.
Some blame Metro’s joint project with Future, “WE DON’T TRUST YOU,” especially since it featured Kendrick Lamar’s explosive “Like That.” The track sparked the immediately-infamous Drake vs. Kendrick showdown.
Metro’s made it clear before: the album wasn’t created to diss Drake. In fact, he called the conspiracy “ridiculous” during an interview earlier this year.
Still, fans aren’t letting go of the theory. But judging by his sharp response, Metro Boomin isn’t losing sleep over it.
