When asked about the series’ progress, the producer said that they were in the midst of post-production, saying that the release of the series was entirely up to the streaming service. The series was filmed in 2024 in Prague, having been pushed back from the original plans to film in 2023 because of the 2023 WGA strike.
Filming wrapped in late 2024 and fans have been anxiously awaiting the next installment in the Blade Runner franchise since then. With the news that the show will be released sometime in 2026, that wait is finally coming to an end.
