BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After playing a key role in helping the Boston University men’s soccer team post a 1-0 victory against Colgate, freshman Austin Mobray earned his second Patriot League Rookie of the Week award, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
A native of Washingtonville, New York, Mobray assisted on senior Ethan Gill’s game winner in the 73rd minute by receiving sophomore Pharis Petrica’s through ball on the run and quickly centering the ball in the box. He also helped the backline and senior goalkeeper Sheraz Saddat limit the Raiders to just three corner kicks along with 11 shots.
Mobray previously received his first Rookie of the Week honor after netting the game winner in the Terriers’ 3-1 win over Brown back on Sept. 5. In total, BU has claimed seven awards this fall.
The Terriers will next conclude their three-game homestand by hosting Northeastern Tuesday (Oct. 14) at 6 p.m.
