The altercation took place shortly before 12:30am on Saturday (October 4), in an alley between the Westin and Indianapolis Marriott Downtown hotels in Indiana.
In security footage, the other man, only known as the initials PT, was seen walking backward away from Mark, who then followed him before slamming him against a wall, per court documents via the Indianopolis Star.
Amid the altercation, PT stabbed Mark in self-defense two or three times. PT also suffered a laceration on his cheek, which, per the NY Post via Fox59, went through his cheek and banger his tongue.
PT also said Mark smelled of alcohol and was slurring his speech.
According to docs, “PT did not have his hearing aids in because his truck is very loud when he is exchanging the frying oil for the hotel, so he had to lean in close to Mr Sanchez to hear him.”
After being released from hospital, Mark was then transferred to Marion County Jail, and posted his $300 cash bond before being booked.
The football analyst also reportedly told police he had no memory of the incident taking place, per the arrest affidavit.
PT, the grease truck driver involved in the altercation, is a 69-year-old man, and his family says he is currently doing okay.
