The No. 3 Boston University men’s ice hockey team will continue its seven-game homestand this weekend at Agganis Arena when the Terriers host Colgate for a pair of contests. Puck drop for Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m., with Saturday’s contest set for 6 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers opened their campaign with a 4-2 home win over LIU last Saturday and followed that with a 3-0 shutout win over RPI in an exhibition game on Sunday.
- Sophomore Cole Hutson was named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week after amassing the game-winning goal and an assist in the win over LIU.
- Classmate Cole Eiserman scored twice in the win, including BU’s first goal of the season on a one-timer, and making his Terrier debut, sophomore Sacha Boisvert lit the lamp and assisted on two other goals.
- Sophomore goaltender Mikhail Yegorov stopped 36 of 38 shots he faced.
- BU was terrific on special teams during Saturday’s win, going 5-for-5 on the penalty kill and converting on two of its five power-play opportunities.
- The Terriers have won five straight season openers and improved to 8-2-0 in their last 10 lidlifters.
- In the shutout win over RPI, junior Max Lacroix stopped all 21 shots he faced.
- Junior captain Gavin McCarthy, freshman Jonathan Morello and Eiserman all lit the lamp while Hutson picked up two assists and sophomore Kamil Bednarik had one helper.
HISTORY WITH COLGATE
- BU is 21-11-0 against the Raiders in 32 all-time meetings, including a 6-1 victory in Hamilton, New York, on Oct. 8, 2016.
- Current Utah Mammoth captain Clayton Keller scored his first collegiate goal in that victory while Dallas Stars netminder Jake Oettinger stopped 29 shots in his first BU start.
- The Terriers also earned a 5-2 win over the Raiders on Nov. 29, 2014, in Colgate’s lone visit to Agganis Arena.
- Two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Evan Rodrigues had two goals, current Chicago Blackhawk Matt Grzelcyk had three assists and 2023 Stanley Cup champion Jack Eichel also lit the lamp in that victory.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
- This weekend’s series will be the first two regular-season games for Colgate, as the Raiders defeated Union, 5-3, in an exhibition on Sunday.
- The Raiders went 18-15-3 last season, including an 0-4 mark against Hockey East schools.
- Max Nagel is the team’s leading returning scorer, having notched 24 points last season on six goals and 18 assists.
- Daniel Panetta potted 10 goals a year ago.
- Andrew Takacs started 31 of the 32 games in which he appeared between the pipes for Colgate last season.
- He posted a 2.77 goals-against average and a .903 cut percentage.
