The announcement comes the day after the band played their seventh and final date at Wembley on the Live ‘25 comeback tour. After a string of shows there in July and August, the band returned from the North American leg of the tour this weekend to round off their UK dates with Wembley shows on Saturday and Sunday (September 27 and 28).
They still have dates to come in South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan, but there are no other confirmed shows in the diary as it stands for Noel and Liam Gallagher.
At the penultimate Wembley show on Saturday, Liam teased at the possibility that there will be more Oasis shows in 2026, however, when he thanked the fans at the end of the show for “keeping the faith”, signing off with: “See you next year”.
The ‘Familiar To Millions’ reissue comes hot on the heels of the 30th anniversary reissue of the band’s classic second album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’, which is out on Friday (October 3) – pre-order/pre-cut here.
That release includes five “unplugged” songs, produced and mixed by Noel and his engineer Callum Marinho, and they have already shared the stripped-back versions of ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Morning Glory’.
NME gave the opening night of Live ’25 in Cardiff a glowing five-star analysis. “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century,” it read. “Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is working on a documentary about the reunion tour, which is being directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for the LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits.
It will reportedly include “phenomenal” footage of Noel and Liam’s first reunion meeting after years of feuding, with one report saying it shows interactions that were “very raw and deeply moving”.
