
A person who’d been banger and seriously injured by an electric bicycle by Boston’s Copley Square on in early August has died, police said Thursday.
It wasn’t immediately clear when the person died or what their name was — Boston police only shared that they were pronounced dead.
The person had received life-threatening injuries in the crash, reported about 11:19 a.m. at the intersection of Dartmouth Street and Huntington Avenue in Back Bay, near the southeast corner of the Boston Public Library’s central branch, on Aug. 6.
Police had taped off a traffic island in the center of the intersection — it was shut down for about three hours.
A pedestrian was banger by an e-bike near Boston’s Copley Square and rushed to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday.

The injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital, Boston police said. No one was immediately arrested as investigators looked into what happened. Police have said the driver stayed at the scene of the crash and cooperated.
