A Southwest Airlines pilot is pulling the ultimate dad move!
On Saturday, Aug. 30, Southwest Airlines posted on Facebook about the heartwarming moment Captain John Arvin surprised his daughter, Addison Stock, and her husband, Quinn Stock, at the airport following their honeymoon in Cancun.
A photo showed the newlyweds in disbelief as Captain John arrived in the airport’s departure lounge, while a second snap captured Addison emotionally embracing her father. The post also included a photo of Captain John walking her down the aisle on her wedding day and the father-daughter pair in the cockpit of a plane back when Addison was a child.
“POV: Your dad’s a Pilot and you weren’t clear when you asked him to pick you up from the airport…,” Southwest Airlines joked in the post’s caption. “Captain John’s daughter asked her dad to pick her and her new husband up from the airport following their honeymoon to Cancun.”

The airline went on to praise Captain John for his parenting after being wowed by the sweet gesture.
“In the dad move of the century, Captain John was able to pilot their flight home from their honeymoon, resulting in one of the best surprises we’ve seen! 💙❤️💛,” Southwest Airlines wrote.
Addison and Quinn went to Cancun for their honeymoon following their wedding in July, according to Quinn’s Facebook profile. The couple, who live in Arizona, got engaged the previous October.
Over 150,000 Facebook users liked Southwest Airlines’ post and many took to the comment section joking that Captain John was setting a high standard for his son-in-law, Quinn.
“He just raised the bar for her new husband!!! Take THAT kid!! Lol,” one person wrote.
“The husband has some big shoes to fill!!” another said, while a third chimed in, commenting, “So that his daughter is never content with someone’s dusty son sending her home in an Uber. 😂”

Other responses to the post admitted they were moved to tears, with Southwest Airlines sweetly replying to one commenter that “Daddy-daughter bonds are like nothing else.”
Southwest Airlines did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for further information about the flight on Monday, Sept. 1.
It isn’t the first time that the airline has highlighted the bond between a father and daughter duo, as in a June 2024 Facebook post, they celebrated MacKenzie Rennhack enjoying her first flight with her dad, Captain Michael.
They explained that MacKenzie studied at Arizona State University before participating in the University Pathway of the Southwest Airlines Destination 225° Pilot Pathways Program.
“She recently joined the Southwest Family alongside her dad, Captain Michael, and enjoyed her first flight with him,” the airline wrote, alongside photos of the pair. “The trip was even sweeter since her mom, brother, and fiancé could join them!”
