
Durham, N.C. – The East Carolina swimming and diving team completed its first two meets of the 2025-26 season, falling to Duke 220-79 and defeating Boston College 186-113 at the Taishoff Aquatic Center on Friday.
Tanith Mueller was impressive in her first collegiate meet, winning the 1000 free against both the Blue Devils and Eagles. Campbell Chandler also picked up a win in her freshman debut, placing first in the 200 fly against Boston College.
“Today was a good start to the season,” head coach Matthew Jabs said. “We certainly have room for improvement, but we saw a lot of good things today that we can and will build upon.”
In the diving well, Frida Zuniga finished first in the 1-meter while placing second in the 3-meter.
The Pirates won all 16 events against Boston College.
