Veer Sharma, a 10-year-old TV actor, and his 15-year-old brother, Shaurya Sharma, have reportedly lost their lives in a very heartbreaking incident at their apartment in Kota.
In a shocking series of events, two children lost their lives in a very massive fire that overtook the Deep Shree apartment complex in the Anantpura area of Kota, Rajasthan. In a recent report, it was found out that the fire took the lives of Veer Sharma and his brother Shaurya Sharma. As per the reports by NDTV, the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the apartment, where the two brothers happened to be present at the time. As per the reports by the police, the 10-year-old and the 15-year-old quickly lost their lives due to suffocation from the heavy and dense smoke that very swiftly filled the entire apartment.
What was the cause of the fire?
According to the initial investigation, the fire presumably started due to a short circuit.Tejaswini Gautam, the Superintendent of Police, said, “The drawing room was completely destroyed by the fire, and there were burn marks in other parts of the flat as well.” Station House Officer Bhupendra Singh confirmed that an electrical fault is believed to be the cause of the incident as well.
Who were Veer and Shaurya Sharma?
The children were sons of the actress Rita Sharma and a faculty member at a prominent coaching institute in Kota, Jitendra Sharma. When the tragedy was happening, Jitendra was out attending an event in the city, while Rita was in Mumbai.
Veer Sharma was famous for playing Lakshman in the mythological TV show, Shrimad Ramayan. He was also all set to play a young Saif Ali Khan in an upcoming film. His older brother, Shaurya Sharma, was a bright and intelligent student preparing for IIT entrance exams.
After the tragic loss, the family made a very generous decision to donate the eyes of both boys, offering the gift of sight to the people in need.
