After a late heartbreaking loss to Michigan State on Saturday night, the Boston College football team willl travel even further west this weekend to face off against the Stanford Cardinal. This is the first time BC will play Stanford as new ACC foes, and it is just the 5th overall meeting between these two programs. They are tied with a 2-2 record against each other all-time, having last played in 2002.

I expect the BC offense to continue to roll under the leadership of Lonergan. There should be a handful of scoring drives, including some actual field goals by Luca Lombardo! On the other side of the ball, BC may have to employ the “bend-don’t-break” strategy. Step up the effort and physicality in the redzone, even if Stanford is able to move the ball on them for much of the game.
