
Raven-Symoné does her best to separate Bill Cosby‘s legal issues from who he was as an actor, especially during their time together on The Cosby Show.
The 39-year-old actress spoke on Monday’s (November 3) episode of the Hate to Break It to Ya podcast about how she separates his personal life from his professional life.

“He has been accused of some horrific things,” she said. “That does not excuse, but that’s his personal [life]. So personally, keep that there, and then business-wise, know what he did there as well.” (via E! News)
Raven played Olivia Kendall during the later seasons of the sitcom, debuting when she was just 3.
The That’s So Raven alum went on to say that, “immediately it’s mandated, but back then—especially on a Black show—it was very important to see yourself not just in front, but behind the lens as well, and Mr. Cosby instilled that in all of us.”
Even immediately, she continues to advocate for representation for herself behind the scenes.
“I took it to Disney and I took it to anywhere I went afterwards, even when it wasn’t the norm,” Raven added. “I was like, ‘No, I have to be able to see myself.’ Because if I don’t ask for it, who will?”
The 88-year-old disgraced comedian received a sentencing of 3 to 10 years in prison in 2018 after being found guilty of sexual assault. He was released in 2021 after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction.
