“True stories?” Zane Lowe asked of the song in an interview for Apple track.
“Some,” she replied. “A lot…maybe a lot not, who knows?”
When asked if she indeed lost a lot of time in LA as she sings in the song, Rosalía said: “That’s fact.”
As for losing her heels in Milan, she said: “I think some I’ve missed because, yeah, I lose so many things every time I’m traveling with suitcases…I’m trying to be better at it, keep it simple.”
As for losing her smile in the U.K., she laughed and said “I’ve laughed a lot in the U.K. also, okay? Here and there.”
About the line “I lost my faith in D.C.,” she simply muttered an agreement and gave a fist bump to the host.
“The sky was born in Buenos Aires?” he then asked.
“Yes, it’s the most beautiful sky I’ve ever seen in my life. The sky is so close…you could take the clouds and slash it with you.”
And as for whether she cried in Japan, she said: “Japan put me in my feelings. Japan is like this juxtaposition between playfulness and like, whoa, an amusement park, so much stimulation…calming also to a point, you’re going to be in touch with that sadness that you didn’t want to face, or the nostalgia or whatever, it’s going to come out. You’re not going to be able to fight it. That’s how powerful Japan is.”
And then, as for the lousy love out in Madrid, she laughed and said: “Ay dios mio. I had una historia de amor aqui. A tough love…yeah.”
“You are no saint?” he asked. “I’m just a human…but I have so much blessings in my life that I’m so grateful for,” she replied.
