RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice Accuses Joe Gorga of Setting Her Up

Teresa Giudice claims her brother, Joe Gorga, set her up to share the Evan Goldschneider cheating rumor on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11.

While appearing on Nick Viall‘s podcast on Wednesday, Teresa, 53, looked back on her passing of the false claim as she explained why she forgave Jackie Goldschneider, 48, for digging up dirt on her husband, Luis Ruelas, 50, while also commenting on the show’s alleged test shoots and speaking of moving forward with her castmates after their divided 14th season.

“My brother is the one that told me about the [Evan cheating] rumor. My brother told me, and immediately, looking back, I was set up … he knew that I was gonna say it out on the show,” Teresa stated on the September 24 episode of The Viall Files, noting that Margaret Josephs, 58, had told Joe.

“My brother told me a rumor. So immediately we’re filming a TV show. We’re at [Jackie’s] birthday rave. It’s so freaking boring … The producers are like, ‘Be on.’ So I’m trying to like, I’m a producer in my head immediately that I’ve been doing this for 18 years, but not a producer in a bad way. But listen, we’re on a TV show,” she continued.

According to Teresa, she was trying to be a girls’ mami by telling Jackie’s then-friends, Margaret and Dolores Catania, 54.

“I’m like, ‘Guys, there’s a rumor out there about Jackie’s husband. You guys are her friends. You should let her know that this rumor’s out there.’ And that was it,” she recalled. “So then Jackie tried to get me back and did what she did.”

“That’s the reason why I [forgave] Jackie, because it was my bad. I shouldn’t have said anything about her husband,” Teresa added.

At another moment of the podcast, after being questioned about the ongoing filming rumors, Teresa asked, “Does a professor take a test?”

“And then also, if they were filming, a fan would have put photos out there,” she noted. “When [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] starts filming, there’s always pictures out there … You see them out. It’s not like we just film in the house. We go out.”

As for her future with her co-stars, including sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, 46, Teresa said that in order to move forward, they have to “let the past go.”

“If you rehash anything, I don’t think you’re gonna get anywhere,” she explained. “[But] if [RHONJ] comes back, then we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on pause since August 2024.
