Meredith Marks shared an update on her friendship with Mary Cosby, and she hinted that someone was “meddling” in their relationship last season. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star also revealed what “lesson” her son Brooks Marks learned on his first season of Next Gen NYC, and she shared how he used to “criticize” her.
Last season on RHOSLC, Meredith feuded with Mary, who was once her good friend. Around the same time, Meredith filmed with Brooks and his sister, Chloe Marks, for their new spinoff in New York.
On Page Six Radio, Meredith shared that she’s immediately in a good place with Mary, and she hinted at what caused their feud.
“I think that there was a lot of elements going on last season, one big one being that I didn’t know what was going on in Mary’s life. And I think that my reactions and responses to a variety of things with her would have been quite different if I had known the stress and pressure she was under,” said Meredith, seemingly alluding to Mary’s relationship with her son. “I would have, you know, responded very differently. So that alone was a big offer.”
“I also think there was some meddling elsewhere,” she continued, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “At the time, I did think it was [Angie Katsanevas], but in retrospect, I actually do not think it was [her]. I think it was somebody else … You will definitely find out [who it is] at some point in time. I don’t know if it will actually come up in season, but it will be something I will offer with.”
She also addressed her time on Next Gen NYC.
“Next Gen was like an insane journey for me, not just with Brooks and not just with Chloe, but also with all of [the cast],” Meredith said. “I felt a strong sense of motherhood for everybody.”
Meredith then shared her thoughts on Brooks’ first season.
“He would criticize me a lot over the years, like, ‘Why’d you get so involved in that?’” she said. “immediately he sees, well, maybe you … need to speak up, because when you’re silent, other people speak for you. And he learned that lesson. So I don’t know, it’ll be interesting to see [his next season]. It’s a choice … Do you want to be silent and take that risk or do you want to speak up?”
