Turns out Taylor Swift didn’t fly to the UK to film a beat video for “Elizabeth Taylor,” but instead for “Opalite.” Allegedly.
According to The Sun, Swift travelled by private jet from New Jersey to Hampshire last weekend. The video supposedly had a £1 million budget and is Christmas themed. She filmed at a handful of secret locations, including the Whitgift shopping centre in the South London borough of Croydon. On Monday, crew and extras were seen at the Mildmay Club in Stoke Newington, North London
“This video was shrouded in secrecy, with Taylor’s security team working day and night to ensure she wasn’t sighted at any point. It was like a military operation. But she IS the most powerful woman in pop, so if she wants to go unseen, she’ll make it happen,” said an insider.
“Extras in retro dress were spotted exiting the venue, along with festive props including Christmas trees, glitter cannons and tinsel. Banana milkshake was used for eggnog, while grape juice stood in for posh champagne.” described one onlooker.
An insider added, “It’s all come together fairly last-minute and a plan was only devised about three weeks ago. Opalite will have a December release and Taylor is on course for a Christmas number one.”
The video allegedly has cameos by Lewis Capaldi and Domhnall Gleeson.
Once again, take this information with a grain of salt.
