After the network suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely due to comments made about Charlie Kirk last week, they announced Monday (September 22) that the show would be returning on Tuesday (September 23).
Several celebrities are immediately speaking out on social media about the decision.
“Cannot wait to hear @JimmyKimmel’s monologue tomorrow,” Ellen DeGeneres wrote, along with a screenshot of the news on her Instagram.
“Protest matters. Use your voice,” said Alyssa Milano on her Instagram, along with a photo of Jimmy.
“My, oh my! & So the story continues,” Maria Shriver wrote on X in reaction to the news.
“Boom,” said Josh Malina, who added on X that he’s not reinstalling Disney+ yet: “I am not. I think it’s early to know how this all ultimately plays out.”
“Ironically this whole fiasco is gonna do wonders for Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings,” said comedian Gianmarco Soresi on X.
“Wow…so, Kimmel wasn’t cancelled by Trump or the FCC after all – but temporarily suspended by his employer because they thought what he said was ill-timed and insensitive,” said Piers Morgan on X.
