Waves and breakers continue into the weekend thanks to distant storm Erin. While many beaches are outright closed, the few that are open are vulnerable to rip currents and heavy surf. Conditions improve tomorrow as the swells begin to settle.
Weather-wise, we’re in fine standing. Highs leap back to summery levels both days with 80s dominating.

While the air is dry today, humidity will climb tomorrow as the southwest winds bring in the sticky air.

There’s some hope for a quick downpour or thundershower, but this is merely a drop in the bucket in terms of drought relief.

Rainfall deficits continue to grow across New England, jeopardizing the fall colors and increasing the fire danger.

Be safe and enjoy one of the last weekends of summer! (Somebody had to say it.)
