Taylor Swift fans better clear their weekends for the release of The Life of a Showgirl because it sounds like they’ll be spending their free time at the movie theaters!
A secret movie event is being planned to coincide with the release weekend of the Taylor‘s upcoming 12th studio album, which will become available on October 3.

Taylor previously broke movie records with her concert film The Eras Tour, which grossed $180 million at the domestic box office back in 2023. The movie brought in $261 million globally to become the best-grossing concert film of all time.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the “content of the theatrical event is unclear, but sources say that it will be tied to The Life of a Showgirl.”
THR notes that the release date is not confirmed, but it likely will drop the same weekend as the album. The only new movie coming to theaters that weekend in a wide release is Dwayne Johnson‘s The Smashing Machine, as well as a re-release of Avatar: The Way of Water.
Taylor has announced a rare TV talk show appearance to drop on October 3.
