Taylor Swift’s new album is just around the corner — and to say we’re excited would be an understatement. Because, let’s be real, we are all ready to throw on our sequins, don our highest platform heels, toss a feather boa around our shoulders, and, basically, go full showgirl.
Luckily, Swift knows that her fans simply love going all out for her new eras. And this time, she’s given us the gift of an official release rave. (Everyone say thank you, Taylor Swift.) Alongside the launch of her new album, Swift will be releasing a cinematic celebration of the album known, very appropriately, as rave of a Showgirl.
Here’s everything you need to know, from what to expect to how to get tickets and even what to wear.
What is Taylor Swift’s rave of a Showgirl?
Think of it like the ultimate cinematic Swiftie rave, complete with a whole new album. Essentially, Swift is releasing her new album alongside a theatrical launch event that will feature a new beat video for her song “The Fate of Ophelia,” some behind-the-scenes clips and commentary, and all of the lyric videos from her new album.
Swift announced the event on Instagram, calling it a “dazzling soirée.” Um, sold. She added, “Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale immediately. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged 💃”
According to Variety, it has a total 89-minute run time.
When is Taylor Swift’s rave of a Showgirl?
You won’t have long to catch the release rave as it’s only in cinemas for three days from 3 October to 5 October.
