Brendan Hunt is a married man!
On Wednesday (October 8), the 53-year-old Ted Lasso co-creator and actor announced that he and longtime love Shannon Nelson tied the knot “a couple weeks ago” in Ireland.
In his announcement shared on Instagram, Brendan revealed that one of his Ted Lasso co-stars officiated the wedding!
Keep reading to find out more…“Oh wait! I totally forgot to mention- me and @snoopshann got married in Ireland a couple weeks ago,” Brendan wrote. “NBD. It was done with way less lead time than you’re supposed to give, and way fewer guests than we would have liked to have under normal circumstances.”
“And we’re pretty sure the homie who married us was only pretending to be a priest,” he continued, revealing that Jason Sudeikis officiated the wedding. “But we just about pulled it off.”
“The bride was stunning, while the groom cleaned up reasonably well,” Brendan added. “It was all quite lovely, and best of all our little boys got to see it. Shout out to all the young-at-heart lovers out there. In the words of my aunt Ellen, ‘It’s so much better to have a teammate.’”
Brendan and Shannon dated for years before announcing their engagement in June 2023. They also share two sons – Sean, born in January 2021, and Archie, born in March 2024.
