In the finale, three months after the airfield exchange, Ben lives off-grid, ready to sever ties to his old life and avenge those lost in Haverford’s spy game.
Naturally, fans are curious to know whether the show will continue on for another season.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf has not yet been renewed for a second season or cancelled.
However, during an interview with ScreenRant, Taylor discussed the chances of a second season, suggesting that there are plans for a follow-up season in the works.
“If you think this is dark, wait till season 2, and it’s not like a cliffhanger, but it’s truly an emotional fall that Ben goes once he gets into Ground Branch and you’re going to see the true repercussion to it and you’re going to see him just f–king go through a lot of turmoil, emotional turmoil,” he said.
“And I’m not saying it’s not character driven, but I do say with Ben in season 2, it’s like Ben’s on his own in season 2 and you’re going to follow him through some of the worst parts of f–king what humans are capable of doing. And you’re going to see him emotionally attached himself to the work even more. And that’s what I want to explore. So that’s where we’re going to go, to broad stroke it, but I definitely feel as an actor and to serve that guy, one more swing. I would love to f–king go one more.”
Chris Pratt also discussed the future of the franchise with ScreenRant.
“I’m down to do this for a really long time. We’ve got tons of ideas for spin-offs, for various characters. Jack Carr‘s an incredibly prolific author. He’s got seven books so far, an eighth book coming out called Cry Havoc, based on Tom Reece, so there’s talk of doing a Cry Havoc series, there’s talk of doing more Dark Wolf, there’s talk of doing more The Terminal List. And I mean we just want to keep expanding the Jack Carr cinevision universe, tie ‘em all together and create something, because it’s unlike anything else on TV, and I want to keep going.”
The show currently has a 75% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes among critics, and an 83% audience score.
