The Real Housewives of New York City season 16 casting is reportedly underway, with major decisions being made.
Months after Brynn Whitfield, 39, and Rebecca Minkoff, 44, confirmed they would not be returning, an insider has revealed that just three members of the season 15 cast have been asked back, with one woman’s future up in the air, and several newbies set to join the group for the new episodes.
According to a September 12 report from Bravo and Cocktails, Erin Lichy, 38, Sai De Silva, 44, and Jessel Taank, 45, have been confirmed for season 16 and will be attending BravoCon in Las Vegas this November. As for the rest of the season 15 women, Jenna Lyons, 57, has yet to sign on, and Ubah Hassan, 42, and Racquel Chevremont, 54, weren’t mentioned.
Regarding the alleged newbies of the show, the outlet’s insider said they were in the final steps of casting, and included TODAY Show host Sheinelle Jones, Martha Stewart‘s makeup musician, Nicole Daisy Toye, celebrity stylist June Ambrose, real estate developer Erika Faye Jones, and Sarah Wetenhall, who owns the Colony Palm Beach and The Hedges Inn in East Hampton.
While Bravo doesn’t comment on casting rumors, Andy Cohen, 57, appeared on Andy Cohen Live earlier this week, where he spoke of new cast members.
“A few have been determined,” he said. “[But] we haven’t rounded it out yet.”
When Brynn announced her departure from the show back in June, she told her fans and followers that she was honored to help reboot the iconic franchise.
“From day one, I’ve believed RHONY is a fan’s show — we’re just temporary custodians of something that truly belongs to the viewers,” she shared. “I hope I made you laugh (a lot), cry (a little), and more than anything — I hope there’s a TV in heaven so that Mimi (who LIVED for her shows) could series me and be proud.”
The Real Housewives of New York City season 16 will reportedly go into production in early 2026, with a premiere date expected that summer.
