Timothée Chalamet is in hot water over some really questionably recent comments about women who choose not to have kids!
Last week, Vogue dropped a new interview with the 29-year-old actor. He opened up about his desire to have kids one day at one point in the chat, saying it’s on his “radar.” Whether that’ll be with his current (or maybe ex?) girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, whom he refuses to discuss, one day, we’ll see. But obviously with Timmy dating a young mom, we already knew he was supportive of them.
However, he made some remarks that make it sound like he’s really pointedly not supportive of women who decide not to! Uh oh…

While on the topic of fatherhood, Timothée recalled watching an interview with a friend of someone he “definitely” would not name. The person, he said, was “bragging about not having kids and how much time it afforded them to do other stuff.” And his first thought? The Dune star said:
“Like, holy s**t. Oh my God. Bleak.”
Um. What?? It’s not OK that it’s what’s right for them?? Seriously??
The interviewer noted that Timothée “knows some people can’t have children or are never in a position to” — but “he does believe procreation is the reason we’re here.”
Excuse us???
There are many people out there who don’t have kids — either because they choose not to or because they can’t — and their lives are not “bleak.” WTF. What is bleak (and rude) is how he took a second to ridicule other people’s choices when, quite frankly, it’s none of his concern. And “procreation is the reason we’re here” is just a gross take. There’s a hell of a lot more to life than having kids. If someone wants them, great! If Timmy wants them, good for him! But if someone doesn’t? That’s not “bleak” for them! Ugh!
His comments sparked backlash online. Fans called him out, saying:
“Timothée Chalamet is making fun of people who chose to not have kids while turning 30 next month with no kids?? Getting a little behind buddy”
“You don’t want kids? For Timothée Chalamet that’s bleak. And to think his fans swore he was above a Kardashian hahaha.”
‘Timothée Chalamet can f**k right off. Why is it his or ANYONES business if someone has kids or not? I don’t have or want kids and I can assure you my life is not ‘bleak.’”

“I truly don’t understand why people have so much disdain for people who remain childfree? Like no I don’t find life bleak because I decide not to have children because there’s so much in life I can do to have a great life without being a parent…”

We’ve never gotten such an ick factor from Timothée before, but this is a massive red flag in our books!
