Tom Holland has shared an insight into the less glamourous side of leading his own film franchise.

The Billy Elliot star told Esquire in an interview that he is given a new Spider-Man suit once a fortnight, with the interviewer suggesting that it could get “musty” over time.
“Yeah, it definitely does. I probably get a new suit every two weeks, I reckon,” he enthusiastically agreed.
The young star began filming the new installment of the franchise, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in August.

He also told the outlet about his own role in delivering what the fans want to the character, speaking directly to Marvel about it.
“I want to do justice to Peter Parker’s character. I want to bring the fans something that’s really worthy of their time,” he shared, having done his own research about it online.
“I really just kind of put together a vibe of what people were looking for and went to Marvel and said, ‘This is what I think we should be doing.’ And I think that’s exactly what we are doing.”

Sometimes the actor gets a little too into his character, recently relaying a story in an interview with Men’s Health the January/February 2025 issue.
He shared that he was once in a Los Angeles branch of the US supermarket chain Whole Foods when his spidey senses tipped him off to a scuffle happening behind him.
He realised that there was a fight going on right behind him in the middle of the grocery store and sprung into action.

“They’re like going at it, right behind me,” Holland recalled, after which he says he grabbed one of the parties of the fight and led him away to calm down.
“I can see that he’s recognised me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, I’m really angry, but Spider-Man is telling me to calm down,” Holland shared with a laugh.
