Tori Spelling is opening up about her experience dating infamous Hollywood bad boy, Charlie Sheen.
As Sheen’s life is put under the spotlight thanks to his new book, The Life of Sheen: A Memoir, and his Netflix documentary, aka Charlie Sheen, Spelling decided to recall the time she went on a date with the actor.
“There was a time that [my friend and dentist] Kevin was friends with him when they were both trying to be sober, and Kevin said, ‘Charlie wants to ask you on a date,’” Spelling, 52, claimed on the Monday, September 22, episode of iHeartRadio’s “missSPELLING” podcast. “I was nervous and didn’t want to go alone.”
In a story only Spelling could tell, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum recalled going to an Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills with Sheen, 60, and a few special guests.
“[Kevin’s] like, ‘Well, I’m going out to dinner with my parents,’ and Charlie and I both knew his parents,” Spelling said. “So it was Kevin’s parents, me, Kevin and Charlie and we went out to dinner.”
While sparks didn’t exactly fly, Spelling said she quickly realized that Sheen is“unimaginably intelligent.”
“Off the charts,” she continued of his intellect. “And his humor! Talk about charming, smart, funny, witty. This guy was it.”

While nothing substantial came of the meet-up, Spelling went on to address a story in The Life of Sheen.
According to Sheen, he needed to hide from the authorities after a legal situation. Unfortunately for him, Spelling wasn’t willing to help.
“I’m standing in my laundry room and Kevin comes in and says, ‘T, I need to ask you a favor. Can we hide Charlie?’” Spelling claimed on her podcast. “This was bad news. They’re actively searching for him, like, in helicopters. What if I were to hide him?”
Spelling said she put her foot down and said no. Sheen later wrote in his book, “Couldn’t blame her, I suppose. But man, who knows what story I’d be banging out right today if the heir to Daddy’s throne said, ‘Yes.’”
Much has changed in Sheen’s life in recent years. In an interview with Page Six, the actor said he has been sober — and celibate — for eight years. He has also mended his fractured relationship with his ex-wife, Denise Richards. (The couple share two daughters: Sami, 21, and Lola, 20.)
While the pair aren’t getting back together, Spelling said the thought crossed her mind when watching aka Charlie Sheen.
“I felt it too,” she told podcast guest Amy Sugarman of the love that still remains between the exes. “Keep in mind, when they met and they went on their first date, and she says, ‘I came to his building, his condo in Westwood,’ I lived there.”
