Tori Spelling says she recently tried to “reconnect” with Kim Kardashian — but it didn’t go exactly as she expected.
On Wednesday, the 90210 alum told the awkward story on her misSPELLING podcast. She explained she was out in Kimmy Kakes’ neighborhood in Hidden Hills, California with her kiddos trick or treating on Halloween. During the outing, she spotted The Kardashians star:
“I’m really good at clocking people, so out of the corner of my eye, without letting her know I’m looking at her, I can see that she [is] look[ing] at me.”
It’s at this point Tori says Kim speaks to a friend she was walking with, then they both turn to look at her:
“I’m like, ‘Oh, Kim sees I’m here, I know Kim’s here,’ and I’m like, ‘I haven’t seen her in so long. God, it would be good to reconnect.”
Ultimately, Tori was too “nervous” to go say hi, but when she later ran into her pal Jessica Simpson, she got the courage to say hi to the SKIMS founder. She explained that she hadn’t seen Jessica in over 25 years — so it gave her a little more nerve to say hi to her “old friend” Kim:
“I go, ‘Kim!’ And I had my arms out and my hands out, like I’m going in to [wave].”

But that’s when Kim’s bodyguard SHUT IT DOWN. Immediately! Tori recalled:
“As I do this, a bodyguard comes out of nowhere and boom, [there’s] an arm blocking me right across me, and he goes, ‘Excuse me, I’m sorry, no’.”
OMG!
She continued:
“I felt so shamed. My heart dropped into my feet, and I was like, ‘I’m never saying hi to anyone again’.”
Aww… Yeah, we can see how that’d be embarrassing for her. Oof.
Don’t get it wrong, though. This wasn’t Kim being a mean mami! Tori clarified the businesswoman had “already moved ahead”:
“She never heard me say Kim. She never saw me at that moment. And you know what, the bodyguard didn’t know who I was. He was doing his job. [The bodyguard was] very professional. He just put an arm right across me like, ‘Nope, you’re not walking any further.’ He was very kind.”
It’s good Kim has strict security like that, for sure! We’re glad Tori can see he was just doing his job, too. No hard feelings from anyone.
But… did this even happen? A source for PageSix claimed on Thursday that Tori just made this all up! They said Kim was in a golf cart with her kiddos and never even ran into her that night. Inneresting.
Regardless, Tori did nothing but sing praises for her old pal. Later in the pod, the Scary Movie star revealed how she knows Kim in the first place — because for her “whole life” the American Horror Story alum was besties with her brother, Randy Spelling:
“She was over at the manor all the time. It was like, Paris [Hilton and] Kim, they were really good friends. So in turn, we were family friends … They are really good humans.”
