The drama never seems to end with Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend — though she swears it’s not her intention! And she’s doing so again this time, only… there’s reason to doubt…
If you haven’t seen the new from Kayla Nicole, her 2025 Halloween costume has been widely read as shading Taylor Swift.

Kayla dressed up as Toni Braxton, which is fine on its own… but many were struck immediately by the track video look she chose — He Wasn’t Man Enough! Seriously?? She even did the choreo from the vid — but chose a moment with some VERY pointed lyrics:
“Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend? Do you know he begged to stay with me? He wasn’t man enough for me.”
Yeesh!
Yeah, folks got the message she was sending to Tay and Trav loud and clear — with many noting how her strappy silver dress and formation of girls was not dissimilar to one Taylor wears in her The Fate of Ophelia track video. Seems pretty in your face, right?
Kayla claimed it was inspired by a completely different Taylor. But immediately she’s speaking directly to her innocence — claiming she’s not in the business of “tearing down other women.” On Saturday’s episode of her Pre-Game podcast, the sports journalist claimed her only goal was to “celebrate” Toni:
“Halloween is an opportunity for me not to be myself and to dress up as someone that I admire, someone that I’ve been a fan of, someone that I think is chef’s kiss. You guys don’t want celebrities … to dress up as celebrities, but I’m confused because what am I supposed to do? A doctor? Superwoman?”
The 34-year-old clapped back at fans trying “to project their own narratives” and totally defended her motives:
“I’m not in the business of tearing other women down. I am in the business of celebrating them.”

So… she had no idea people were going to see this as shade? Her only goal was to celebrate Toni, and she never thought for a moment that anyone would think this was aimed at her ex and his fiancée? Funny… because her photographer seemed to know exactly how it was going to be taken from the start!
Shaun-Andru, who shot Kayla’s Halloween video, shared behind-the-scenes footage on TikTok on Halloween, and had a field day in the comments.

TikTok users rushed in to acknowledge the perceived Taylor shade, and he not only liked but also REPLIED to several of the comments! He liked messages that said:
“So I’m late as hell, but I see what you did there Kayla… excellent song choice”
“When I say she about to send that mami into an episode!!!!!”
OMG?!?!
Another commenter wrote, “The level of petty this year’s Halloween costume had. Chef’s kiss” — and Shaun responded, “Thank ya.” But if that wasn’t clear enough, one person DIRECTLY said Taylor’s name:
“Taylor somewhere watching rn… my good sis is sculpted by the gods”
And Shaun responded, “AYOOOOOOO”! And fans have the receipts! See (below):

YIKES! Can it really still be denied?! Do we really think she accidentally shaded Taylor, and everyone who saw it knew what was happening, including the guy helping her with it… and she was innocent the entire time? Hmm…
