
Travis Kelce had been planning to propose to Taylor Swift for a very long time, according to one of his friends!
The “Lover” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs player announced on August 26 that they were engaged after two years of dating, and during the September 12 episode of his podcast Pardon My Take, host Andrew Santino revealed when he first learned that Travis was planning on proposing.
Keep reading to find out more…“We had golf together in like April or May, and yeah, he said he was doing it,” Andrew recalled. “But he didn’t say when.”
“But I don’t pry,” he continued, adding: “We didn’t talk about it. … He’s brought something up about it, and then I never asked again.”
After the couple officially announced their engagement, Andrew said that he reached out to congratulate them, though he explained the engagement actually “happened much earlier.”
“We just FaceTimed them to say congrats,” Andrew said, adding that he was “stoked” for Travis and Taylor.
As for their wedding, Andrew admitted that he “highly doubts” he’ll be invited.
“I don’t think I got that invite,” Andrew said. “I’m not on that list, homie.”
However, Andrew is hoping to land an invite to Travis‘ bachelor event.
“Travis is my boy, I love him to death, [but] I highly doubt it,” Andrew said. “Maybe I’ll catch a bachelor event invite.”
