Trump held a press conference where he pushed back on recent speculation about his health and media appearances. The conversation stemmed from him taking a short break from holding press events, which he says the media quickly spun into concern about whether “something was wrong.”
He reminded reporters that just last week he had already done multiple press conferences, long interviews, and what he called “poignant truths” on his platform, Truth Social.

According to Trump, his two-day pause shouldn’t have raised red flags, especially during the Labor Day holiday. He contrasted his schedule with Joe Biden’s, saying Biden went months without major press availability but didn’t face the same scrutiny.
“I’ve been very active actually over the weekend,” Trump said, noting that he did interviews, posted on social media, and even visited members at one of his clubs near the Potomac River. He dismissed the health speculation as “fake news” and argued that the media is too eager to create drama.
At the end of the day, Trump insisted that nothing was wrong with him and that his brief break was simply part of the holiday weekend.
