Two men who barricaded themselves inside a Dorchester home Thursday afternoon surrendered themselves to police that evening after an hours-long standoff, Boston Police spokesperson John Boyle said.
The incident began after officers responded to a home on Charlotte Street around 4:45 p.m. for a report that a man had been shot multiple times, Boyle said. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
At least one suspect involved in the shooting fled into a Charlotte Street home following the initial incident, Boyle said. A SWAT Team and negotiators joined officers at the scene during the standoff.
Eventually, two men left the home and surrendered themselves to police following successful negotiations, Boyle said. Both suspects are facing charges and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.

The home will remain blocked off while police obtain and execute search warrants, Boyle said. Police plan to share information about the suspects and the charges against them Friday morning.
Police were originally called to 24 Charlotte St. — a three-story home located next to Greater Anointing Harvest Church, WCVB reported.
No further information about the incident has been released as of Thursday evening.
