CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (KLTV) – Former Tyler Lion Derrick McFall scored on the ground three times in SMU’s 45-13 win over Boston College on Saturday.
Coming into the game, the redshirt-freshman had one rushing touchdown.
McFall finished with five carries for 64 yards and three touchdowns. McFall got the Mustangs on the board first when he capped off a seven play, 70-yard drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown to put SMU ahead 7-0. In the fourth quarter, McFall found paydirt again with a 6-yard rushing touchdown to put the finishing touches on a five play, 67-yard drive. Later in the quarter, McFall ripped off his longest run of the season with a 48-yard rushing touchdown for the final score of the game.
SMU (7-3, 5-1) returns to action on Nov. 22 at home against Louisville.
