Cher is ready to say “I do.”
The Believe singer is reportedly ready to take the next step in her relationship with much-younger boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards! According to a recent report from The Mirror, she wants to walk down the aisle ahead of her milestone 80th birthday next May. A source told the outlet:
“She has set her heart on walking down the aisle with him around the time of her landmark birthday in May. She sees her upcoming celebration at turning 80 as the perfect time for her and Alexander to seal the discount.”
Wow! That sure would be an unforgettable way to ring in a new decade… for both parties!

As Cher turns 80 next year, Alexander turns 40, highlighting a VERY significant age gap of 40 YEARS. He’s half her age! But the Burlesque actress couldn’t care less about numbers. The insider told the outlet:
“Cher doesn’t give a hoot about their age difference and they’re both ready to commit to each other.”
In the past, the Mermaids actress has brushed off criticism surrounding her and Alexander’s four-decade age gap. She told CBS Mornings in November:
“Whatever. They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast.”
The 79-year-old added:
“You know, you get older but your spirit is younger. I just love him. I think he’s beautiful and he’s really talented.”
If they do move forward with a wedding, it would mark the first time Cher has said “I do” in over 50 years. She was previously married to Sonny Bono from 1964 to 1975, then to Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979. As for AE, he was formerly linked to Amber Rose, whom he shares a son with.
Romance rumors between him and Cher first began bubbling up in 2022, and since then, the pair have had sort of an off-again, on-again relationship and sparked engagement rumors. But they seem to be going strong! We mean, things must be if they’re talking about marriage, right??
