
Charlie Kirk was tragically killed in a shooting in Utah on Wednesday (September 10) and the shooter is still at large, according to authorities. The person who was apprehended in a viral video is reportedly not the shooter.
The Turning Point USA founder and right-wing activist was just 31 when he was shot and killed during a rally event at Utah Valley University.

While it was initially reported that a suspect had been arrested just moments after the shooting, the real suspect is reportedly still out there.
NBC News reported at 1:05pm PT that a Utah Valley University spokesperson said that a suspect, who was not a student, had been taken into custody. It was also reported that the suspect shot from roughly 200 feet away.
Nine minutes later, the spokesperson said that the authorities actually “do not have a suspect in custody.”
There is a viral video spreading on social media showing a man being apprehended by police and dragged away from the scene. The man could be seen with has pants falling down as the police lifted him from his arms and legs to a nearby car.
University spokesman Scott Trotter told the New York Times that the police “determined that a person who was taken into custody after the shooting was not actually the shooter.”
