3 Dead in Shooting at Cook’s Corner Bar in Orange County, California

A shooting at a bar in a town southeast of Los Angeles on Wednesday killed at least three people and injured six others, the authorities said.

The shooting occurred at a bar in Trabuco Canyon, a community near Anaheim in eastern Orange County, the county sheriff’s office said on X, formerly known as Twitter. The shooter also died, it said.

No other details were available late Wednesday and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office could immediately be reached for comment.

The bar, Cook’s Corner, has since the 1970s been a popular stop for motorcyclists in Southern California. Its clientele has included bikers, California Highway Patrol officers and weekend road enthusiasts. Tonight was the bar’s regular spaghetti night.

“Heartbroken to hear of another senseless mass shooting, this time in our own backyard,” Katrina Foley, an Orange County supervisor, said on X. She did not immediately respond to a request for comment late Wednesday.

News of the shooting was reported earlier by CBS News.

This is a developing story.
