Sources – Kyle Anderson heading to Warriors on 3-year, $27M deal

The Golden State Warriors are landing free agent forward Kyle Anderson on a three-year, $27 million contract, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

The Warriors are executing a sign-and-trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, acquiring Anderson for a future second-round pick swap and cash, sources said. The Warriors are using a Traded Players Exception created by the Klay Thompson departure to bring on Anderson.

The deal included a nonguaranteed third year, sources said.

Anderson, 30, spent the past two seasons with the Timberwolves, where he averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds a season ago. He’s a versatile forward with significant playmaking ability.

Anderson started his career with four seasons in San Antonio before playing four seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies.
