A four-year-old girl was struck by a car and killed in South Boston Sunday evening, according to police.
Preliminary information revealed the child was hit by a car at the intersection of Congress and Sleeper streets after 5 p.m. The girl, who police said, was with family when the incident occurred, was taken to Mass General where she died.
No arrests have been made, police said. The driver did remain at the scene. Police said the investigation into the tragic accident remains ongoing.
